mn state fair

WARNING: you will gain 10 pounds just reading this post!

first of all the minnesota state fair is a HUGE deal. people come from ALL OVER to attend. it is a twelve-day event and last year the attendance was 1,790,497. the area covers 20 blocks by 20 blocks! 

natalie had never had cotton candy before. she was confused.

but she loved it of course!

 99.9% of the food is on a stick, fried or both.

 nothing is off-limits. not even pork chops.

because 18 inch corn dogs are necessary.

 this tub of amazingness is $15. you have to eat like 30 cookies before you can even put the lid on!

 i suppose there are things you could do besides eat.

go on a ride to make you sick from all you've eaten OR have a bear try to scare your appetite away....

natalie doesn't look happy but she actually loved seeing this bear.

kirsten ate so much she looked like she was nine months pregnant!

in addition to the food, as aforementioned, there are the rides and people watching. but there are also concerts including big names like carrie underwood, tim mcgraw, KISS, mercyme, nitty gritty dirt band and silly ones like weird al and boyz II men. yes, you heard me, making their comeback like nkotb. there's also rodeos and a birthing barn where farm animals are shown and many babies are born! i'm sure i'm forgetting a lot but it's crazy fun. we went twice. see, aren't your arteries already clogging?
